While on our trip to Miami I found it extremely hard to find food that I could eat that was gluten free. Some restaurants didn't even know what gluten was, and others were amazing and even had the chef come out and speak with me. A friend back home told me Yardbird and would not give up until I went. Along with my friend was also a gluten free blogger I follow( Chrissy from Glam without Gluten) said this place has the most amazing gluten free fried chicken. After hearing fried chicken and gluten free in the same sentence, I wanted to know where I could sign up. Not only did they have the most amazing fried chicken but also great french fries served with a homemade buttermilk ranch dip. For those of you who are not gluten free like myself you have a plethora of amazing southern choices. My sister said the mac and cheese was to die for and my mother said that the brisket sandwich was heaven. If you are ever in Miami Beach you need to check this place out. I wish they would open in New York!

Jacob's 1st Birthday Party !
My soon to be sister in law hosted the most amazing first birthday party, cat in the hat theme. Some of these things I would have never been able to think of even with my Pinterest addiction. It was such an amazing day and party, as you can see by the photos.

Let's get planning !
When life gets chaotic, get a planner. Ever since I was in high school, I always had to write down everything, from homework to social events. High school planners were the best, you had your months in the front and then you have your weeks broken down. I was lucky enough to find them in college also. But being out in the real world as an adult I could not seem to find a planner that had everything I was looking for.... Until now!
I was lucky enough to find Much Ado About You on Instagram and lets just say I hit the planner jackpot. I was dying to get my hand on this colorful book! I was lucky enough to see Emmy's post looking for guinea pigs, and I was quick to apply, and super excited I was chosen to get an early peek at her new planners. This has quickly become my new favorite item in my bag. She pays attention to detail, including these cute tabs for the months that you stick on the edge. She gives you a huge paper clip for you to get right to the week you are currently on, and these circle stickers for events. I will be back every year as long as she is making them.
Here is the best way to get your hands on one of these beauties!

Christmas 2012
{beautiful salad}
I hope everyone had an amazing holiday with their families. This year was extremely hard for my family, Christmas day marked 3 weeks since my grandfather has passed away. We decided we all needed something different this year in order to start fresh again next year with new family traditions. On Christmas eve, my mother, sister, fiancé and I took a trip to New York City to visit my uncle. We had a wonderful dinner party with great food and amazing company. The next morning, brunch on the roof top of The Kimberly Hotel, such a beautiful place to stay. Here are a few of my favorite snap shots of my holiday.
